Automatic Campaign

In one lineAmazon picks the targeting.
Automatic Campaign illustration

An automatic campaign lets Amazon choose which searches and products your ad targets, based on your listing.

You set a budget and a bid, and Amazon matches your ad to searches and detail pages it reads as relevant, across four groups: close match, loose match, substitutes, and complements. You can set a separate bid for each group.

You launch an auto campaign for a new yoga mat. Within days the search term report shows Amazon matched "exercise mat," "thick yoga mat," and several rival mat ASINs you never listed.

Auto is a research tool, not a set-and-forget one. It surfaces terms you would not have guessed, but it also spends on loose matches; you harvest the winners into a manual campaign and negate the rest rather than let it run untended.

Let Amazon find the words. You decide which ones stay.
