Demographic Targeting

In one lineAge, gender, region, and interest.
Demographic Targeting illustration

Demographic Targeting narrows delivery by user attributes such as age, gender, region, and interest category rather than by your own data.

You set these filters in the ad set, and LINE serves only to users who match. Age runs in bands from the youngest bracket to the oldest, region goes down to prefecture, city, or workplace area, and interests span dozens of categories built from platform behavior. You layer these to define a cold audience when you have no first-party list to retarget.

A gym targeting a new branch sets region to the surrounding districts, age to the twenties and thirties, and adds a fitness interest category so its ads reach nearby users likely to join.

Every filter you add shrinks reach. Stacking age, gender, region, and three interests feels precise but can starve the auction and drive up cost per result, and the interest inferences are probabilistic, not declared. Start broad, let the system find the pocket, and tighten only when the data tells you to.

Attributes, not intent. Do not over-filter.
