Ad Account

In one lineThe billing and asset container for campaigns.
Ad Account illustration

An ad account is the billing and asset container that every LinkedIn campaign runs inside.

It ties campaigns to a payment method, a currency, a time zone, and a set of user permissions, and it connects to a LinkedIn Page. Your audiences, conversion tracking, and Insight Tag all attach at this level, so the account is the boundary for what a given set of campaigns can see and share.

An agency running three clients keeps three separate ad accounts, each with its own billing and its own Page, all managed from one Business Manager login. Data does not cross between them unless you deliberately share an audience.

Currency and time zone are locked at creation. You cannot change them later without opening a new account, and reporting hours follow the account time zone, not yours. Get both right before you spend anything.

One account, one currency, one source of truth.
