Conversation Ads are interactive message ads in the LinkedIn inbox where members click reply buttons to move down branching paths, priced per send.
You build a flow of messages, each offering buttons that lead to different next messages or landing pages, so the recipient chooses their own route instead of getting one fixed pitch. Like Message Ads, you pay on delivery, and the branching lets you route people to different offers based on what they click.
A university sends a Conversation Ad asking whether the recipient is interested in an MBA or a shorter certificate, then shows a different course page depending on which button they press.
More branches is not more results. People drop off at every button, so a five-layer flow often leaks most of its audience before the offer, and the deep paths get almost no traffic. Short flows with one clear decision usually beat elaborate trees.
Every extra button is another place to lose them.
