Advantage+ App Campaigns

In one lineThe automated campaign type for app installs.

Advantage+ App Campaigns is Meta's automated campaign type built to get people to install your app and take valuable actions inside it.

You have an app, and you want installs, or better, people who install and then actually buy, subscribe, or hit some in-app action worth money to you. Instead of building and tuning a stack of ad sets by hand, you point this campaign type at your goal, give it your creative and a budget, and Meta's system handles most of the targeting and delivery on its own. It used to be called Automated App Ads, so before you go hunting for that old name in the interface, know that this is the same tool grown up under the Advantage+ banner.

The reason this one deserves its own entry is measurement, not the automation. When someone installs your app from an ad on an iPhone, you do not get to watch that person's every move the way you would on a website with a pixel firing. Apple sits in the middle of app data now, and that changes how you are allowed to read your own results.

The honest catch is that app results on iPhones reach you late and blurry. Apple routes app measurement through its own SKAdNetwork and an aggregated system, which means installs and in-app events show up delayed, grouped together, and deliberately stripped of detail for privacy. A campaign can look dead for a couple of days and then quietly fill in once the data lands. So give these campaigns more time before you judge them, resist yanking the budget on day two, and lean on your own in-app analytics, the numbers your app records directly, to see what is really happening.

The automation is the easy part, reading the delayed data with patience is the skill.
