Advantage+ Catalog Ads

In one lineMeta builds product ads from your catalog, per person.

Advantage+ Catalog Ads, the feature Meta used to call Dynamic Product Ads, automatically show the right products from your catalog to the right people, without you building a separate ad for each item.

Instead of designing one fixed ad, you point Meta at your catalog and let it assemble the ad per person. Someone who looked at a blue jacket and left sees the blue jacket. A new visitor Meta thinks is in the market for shoes sees shoes. The same setup can do two jobs at once: bring back people who browsed specific products, and put likely products in front of people who have not visited yet. Because it reads the live feed, the price and the stock in the ad stay current on their own, so you are running a personalized, self-updating storefront rather than a static creative.

This matters because it is how ecommerce advertising actually scales past a handful of hero products. You could never manually retarget every viewer with the exact item they abandoned across a full range, but the catalog plus this automation does it as a matter of course, at the product level, for your whole inventory at once. For most stores it is the single highest-return setup Meta offers.

It leans entirely on two things being clean: the catalog, and the signal that connects a person to a product. Your pixel or Conversions API events have to send the product IDs that match the IDs in your feed, or Meta cannot tie the person who viewed a thing to the thing they viewed. When that matching breaks, the "dynamic" part quietly collapses into generic product ads, and you often will not notice until you check whether the item in the ad is the item the person actually looked at.

The magic is not the ad, it is the match between your feed and your events, and it dies silently when that match breaks.
