Sales and Conversions

In one lineOptimizing for purchases and events.
Sales and Conversions illustration

Sales and conversions is the objective that optimizes toward purchases and other lower-funnel events you define.

You pick it when you want the specific action, a purchase, an add to cart, a sign up, not just a visit. Snapchat reads those events through the Snap Pixel on the web, the Conversions API from your server, or app events, and optimizes delivery toward the people most likely to complete the one you chose.

Say you run a store selling headphones. You install the Snap Pixel, pick purchase as the optimization event, and run the sales objective. The report shows purchases and cost per purchase, and because the pixel reports order value, you can read return on ad spend instead of guessing from swipe ups.

The sales objective is only as good as the events feeding it. If the pixel is missing, misfiring, or firing the wrong event, the system has nothing to optimize toward and falls back to weak signals. Set up and verify your tracking before you spend, not after the numbers look wrong.

No clean event data, no real conversion optimization.
