A conversion is an action you decide to count as valuable, like a purchase, a lead form, or an install.
You pick what counts. For a store it might be a completed checkout; for a coaching business it might be a booked call. The ad platform only knows an action mattered because you told it to watch for that action and report back when it happens.
Say someone taps your ad and buys a 1,200 rupees pair of shoes. That checkout fires a conversion, and the platform ties it back to the ad they saw. Now the system has a real result to learn from, not just clicks or views.
Not every conversion is worth the same, even if the platform counts them as one. A newsletter signup and a paid order both show up as "1" unless you assign values, so raw conversion counts can flatter a campaign that only drives cheap, low-intent actions.
Count what pays you, not what is easy to fire.
